Commissioning bespoke furniture is a very exciting and rewarding process. It is the only way to get exactly what you would like in terms of functionality, style and with precisely the right dimensions to fit the space; and it all begins with an idea.

This idea will then be developed into a beautiful, unique piece of furniture that fits perfectly within your home.

Why Choose JSPickett Furniture?

We are ultimately dedicated to our craft, and offer a truly bespoke service. Everything is made in-house specifically to your desired style and requirements, meaning it will integrate perfectly within your surroundings; functioning as required and enhance the way you use the space.

The process

You (the client) make contact to outline your requirements.

A meeting can then be arranged to discuss your vision in more detail. This is usually best held in the clients home where the furniture will live.

From here the function of the piece can be discussed in detail; timber selection and finish can be suggested to best fit the surroundings.

James will take all this information away and sit down to come up with a design solution to suit your needs.

Estimated costings will be worked out and then if this suits the budget, a deposit would be requested to be paid to get the job booked into the work schedule.

From here drawings will be produced and the finer details will be ironed out.

Once drawings are signed off, production can begin. This can take roughly anywhere from 2 - 12 weeks, depending on the complexity and scale of the project.

Once underway, customers are always welcome to visit the workshop at anytime to see their creation coming to life.

Whether it be freestanding or fitted furniture, James hand selects the finest materials for every project, and his drive for exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail results in fine furniture, built to last!
